Theme ‘Mission to Market. Malaysia to the World’ reflects ambition to accelerate the journey of homegrown technologies Supports efforts to translate Malaysia's strengths in science, technology and innovation into measurable economic outcomes Registration is now open for the National Innovation & Commercialisation Expo (NICE) 2026, Malaysia's premier platform connecting researchers and innovators with industry, investors, commercialisation opportunities and market access. Organised by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), with the Malaysian Research Accelerator for Technology and Innovation (MRANTI) as the implementing agency, NICE 2026 will be held from 26 to 28 August 2026 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC). Registration was launched today during the NICE 2026 digital pre-launch, featuring Chang Lih Kang, Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Minister and Ashran Ghazi, MRANTI CEO. Into its 10th year, it was initially called Malaysia Commercialisation Year (MCY) Summit. With the theme "Mission to Market. Malaysia to the World," NICE 2026 reflects Malaysia's ambition to accelerate the journey of homegrown technologies from research and development to industry adoption, commercialisation and expansion into regional and global markets. Building on the legacy of the MCY initiative - which has supported the commercialisation of 761 innovations and generated more than RM1.14 billion in commercial revenue - NICE expands the platform to strengthen connections between innovators, industry, investors and the market. The event will bring together more than 50 thought leaders, industry experts, policymakers, investors and technology practitioners, while showcasing over 180 innovations and technologies across strategic sectors. The three-day programme includes conferences on Advanced & Future Industries, HealthTech, Bioeconomy, DeepTech, Commercialisation and Market Access, alongside business matching, technology pitching, Tech Talks, podcasts and networking sessions. Designed to bridge the gap between research and the marketplace, NICE provides innovators with direct access to industry partners, investors, customers and commercialisation opportunities. Ashran (pic) said NICE was created to be more than a technology exhibition.
