What happened
The limited-edition Switch 2 Zelda 40th Anniversary console is reselling for around $1,000 on eBay, while Amazon and Walmart still have preorders at the $519.99 MSRP. The article is primarily a consumer buying alert with no technical or developer content.
Why it matters
This is a consumer gaming hardware scarcity story with no practical impact for builders, developers, or startup founders. There is nothing to change in your tooling, infrastructure, or product decisions based on this.
Discussion angle
Skip this item for the meetup unless someone wants a 30-second tangent on limited-edition console arbitrage as a side-hustle pattern.
