What happened
Kyndryl has appointed Megawaty Khie as VP and managing director for ASEAN and Korea, succeeding Andrew Lim who moved to a broader APAC role. Khie joins from Avanade, where she was regional MD for Southeast Asia, and previously held roles at Google Cloud, Microsoft, SAP, IBM, HP, Dell, and Singtel.
Why it matters
This is a leadership change at an enterprise IT modernization vendor with no product, pricing, or technical changes announced. Builders in the audience are unlikely to need to act on this unless they are existing Kyndryl customers tracking account coverage in the ASEAN region.
Discussion angle
Brief mention only: what Kyndryl's positioning around 'modernizing mission-critical IT for the age of AI' signals about enterprise demand in ASEAN, and whether that creates partnership or integration opportunities for smaller builders in the region.
