What happened
Tom's Hardware flags a Walmart discount of $750 off an MSI Crosshair 16-inch gaming laptop with an RTX 5060 GPU and a 240Hz QHD display. The excerpt contains only the headline deal framing — no final price, CPU, RAM, storage, or benchmark figures — and the rest of the page is site navigation and membership boilerplate.
Why it matters
The text does not give a post-discount price, so you cannot judge whether this is actually a good deal versus other RTX 5060 laptops. If you are weighing a local GPU machine for AI experiments, note that a 5060-class laptop chip is entry-level for model work and the article provides no VRAM or performance data to decide on.
Discussion angle
Is a discounted RTX 5060 laptop ever the right buy for local AI tinkering, or is renting cloud GPU time the better default for a Malaysian builder's budget?
