What happened
Malay Mail reports that Apple has refreshed the 24-inch iMac for 2026 with its M6 chip, and that the model is available in Malaysia starting at RM6,499. The supplied article text is truncated right after the M6 mention, so it contains no specs, configuration tiers, RAM/storage options, or availability dates beyond the 28 October 2026 publication date.
Why it matters
The only concrete decision-relevant fact here is the RM6,499 Malaysian starting price for an M6 24-inch iMac — useful if you're budgeting a desk machine or comparing against a Mac mini plus separate display, but the text gives no chip benchmarks, memory ceiling, or port details, so you cannot judge whether it's worth the premium from this article alone. Wait for full local spec sheets before committing a purchase or refresh budget.
Discussion angle
At RM6,499 for an entry M6 iMac in Malaysia, does a headless Mac mini plus your own monitor still win for dev work — and what specs would you need to see before recommending either?
