What happened
Cloudflare launched new Security Analytics features to identify personal agent traffic: a "Personal Assistants" category in the Bot Analysis chart and a Top Statistics widget showing which agents visit, their request counts, paths, status codes, and networks. Account Abuse Protection (early access) now shows which user each agent represents on login/signup events. Cloudflare also added more granular access policies to let site owners allow or block specific agents.
Why it matters
If your site runs behind Cloudflare, you can now see personal agent traffic separately from generic bots and set per-agent access rules instead of blocking all automation and potentially losing customers. The Account Abuse Protection early-access view helps fraud teams tie agent activity to specific accounts during login or signup.
Discussion angle
Should SaaS sites treat personal agent traffic as customers to serve or bots to rate-limit? What access policies make sense for checkout and login flows, and how would you detect abusive agent behavior versus legitimate assistance?
