Release: condense-json 1.1 After shipping condense-json 1.0 I started integrating it into LLM, and found there were some desirable new features already: Replacements object can now include values other than strings. These will be identified and used as structural replacements by condense_json() and uncondense_json(). #8 Objects can be used as the basis for merge operations. condense_json() will identify if there are objects that are a close match and will store instructions for keys to update or delete. uncondense_json() can then apply these merges. Multi-year facility expands digital financing access for technology-driven and underserved SMEs Partnership supports Malaysia's industrial ambitions by widening financing through a digital platform Funding Societies has secured a multi-year working capital financing facility from Malaysia Debt Ventures Bhd (MDV), a subsidiary of the Minister of Finance (Incorporated) [MOF Inc], to expand financing for technology-driven and underserved Malaysian SMEs through its platform. The facility builds on a partnership between the two organisations that began in 2022, when MDV first participated on the platform to support Malaysia's technology-based SMEs. Chai Kien Poon, country head of Funding Societies Malaysia, said: "Financing a platform is a multiplier. One facility from MDV reaches thousands of businesses instead of one at a time. For MDV, that is development financing doing what it is meant to do at the scale and speed Malaysia's SME economy actually needs. "MDV has backed us since 2022, and we are grateful for that continued support. This facility marks the next step in a long-term partnership." The financing supports MDV's mandate to grow Malaysia's technology-based companies through flexible and specialised financing solutions, while extending Funding Societies' digital, alternative-data-driven financing to SMEs at a critical stage of their growth. The initiative also supports Malaysia's New Industrial Master Plan 2030 by helping businesses move up the value chain and progress towards mid-tier company status. Digital SME financing makes it possible to reach underserved SMEs at scale by leveraging alternative data, enabling faster turnaround times and reducing the cost of serving each financing account compared with conventional credit assessment. SMEs account for 96.1% of business establishments in Malaysia, contribute close to 39% of gross domestic product and employ roughly half of the national workforce. Supporting a platform that can extend financing across this broad segment has the potential to generate wider economic impact through business growth, job creation and higher incomes, beyond providing credit access to individual SMEs. To date, Funding Societies has disbursed close to US$1.8 billion (RM7 billion) in financing to more than 10,000 businesses in Malaysia, while MDV has approved over US$3.5 billion (RM14 billion) in financing for more than 1,184 technology projects across various high-impact sectors since its establishment in 2002. Release: condense-json 1.0 I'm trying to get braver at releasing 1.0 versions. This little library is a year and a half old now - I've applied some sensible and non-disruptive fixes and shipped the big 1.0 for it. Here's an example of what it can do, lifted from the README: { "foo": { "bar": { "string": "This is a string with foxes in it", "nested": { "more": ["Here is a string", "another with foxes in it too"] } } } } Combine that with a replacements object: {"1": "with foxes in it"} And condense_json(input_json, replacements) produces the following: { "foo": { "bar": { "string": {"$r": ["This is a string ", {"$": "1"}]}, "nested": { "more": ["Here is a string", {"$r": ["another ", {"$": "1"}, " too"]}] } } } } It scans for strings or substrings that are present in that replacements object and replaces those with a special {"$r": ...} syntax in the output. You can reverse the effect with uncondense_json(condensed, replacements). The idea is to make it easier to store JSON that includes duplicated data from other related structures.
