AI Weekly Malaysia

WikiHack is a Show HN side project (wikihack.netlify.app) that indexes Wikipedia articles linked from Hacker News and ranks them by how many distinct HN users cited them, with top/rising/front-page/topics feeds and per-article pages. Example entries show the mechanic concretely: Jevons paradox carries ▲396 HNers across 544 links spanning 2010–2026, and Executive Order 11246 shows ▲6 HNers across 7 links from 2017–2025, each with a quoted comment excerpt and a link back to the HN thread. It reached 197 points and 56 comments on the discussion thread.

Why: This is a working template for a niche discovery site built entirely on two public APIs — HN link data plus Wikipedia/Wikimedia thumbnails — and the visible design choice worth copying is the per-article 'distinct HNers' count plus date range (544 links, 2010–2026) rather than a raw link tally, which is what makes an old article look alive again. If you have been sitting on a 'what does my community keep referencing' idea, this shows the whole build is a Netlify static deploy with no model costs. Nothing here changes a production decision, and there is no Malaysia angle in the text.
